The all-time leading scorer in women’s soccer history at Southern Nazarene University, Becky (Atkinson) Kahkesh set the bar as high as you could set it for a young Lady Redskin soccer team. The 1996 NAIA All-American and honorable mention in 1997 scored 111 goals (the only player with at least 100) and averaged just over a goal per game in her career. She’s also the all-time points leader with 243 as she averaged 2.93 points per game. She stands sixth all-time in school history in assists with 81 and holds single season records for goals (85), points per game (4.05), goals (40) and goals per game (1.90). Her 40 goals in 1996 is the 13th most goals in the NAIA in a single-season.
Kahkesh graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor’s of Science in education with Cum Laude honors. She and her husband, Bobby Kahkesh, have been married for 12 years and have four children; daughter Kaydn, son Kabi, daughter Kyrin and daughter Karma.
