SNU Sports Medicine

Southern Nazarene University Sports Medicine provides SNU Athletics with sports injury prevention, injury care and post-injury restoration. Nationally certified and state licensed athletic trainers (ATCs) provide medical coverage for athletes who are on teams sponsored by SNU.

SNU ATCs are present at all home contests and travel as often as possible with teams. Referral support is also provided on campus through the SNU Health Center and Renew Counseling Center for nursing, physician and mental health services. Orthopedic physician referral is also provided by the SNU Sports Medicine staff.

The Sports Medicine Room is located in room B12 of the Sawyer Center. It is conveniently located on the ground level near the main gym in the first hallway. The Sports Medicine Room has facilities for hydrotherapy treatment; electrical, ultrasound and other modality treatment; an athlete taping/wrapping area and a rehabilitation/exercise area with a stationary cycle and other rehabilitation equipment.
