BETHANY, Okla.—The 2023 Signing Day is here as the Southern Nazarene University football team has announced the addition of 54 new student-athletes, with a potential for more in the coming days.
The new class currently consists of 54 student-athletes across four states. Nearly 50% of the class come from right here in Oklahoma with 27 signees, while Texas supplied another big chunk of student-athletes with 24 coming from the Lonestar state. Two new additions to the team also come from Arkansas, while one, an early enrollee, hails from Kansas City, Missouri. Four of these additions are spring enrollees, including the school's first ever mid-year high school graduate.
The class is well balanced with 28 coming on the defensive side of the ball, and 24 coming on the offensive side, as well as two special teams commits.
SNU Head Coach Dustin Hada spoke highly of his staff following another excellent recruiting period, saying "I would like to thank my staff Kenneth West, Nathan Brown, Stephen Price, Indy Siehndel, James Love, Jared Howell, and Scott Cooper for the work that they have done putting together this signing day class. They have once again done an outstanding job throughout the entire recruiting process from identifying, vetting, & relationship building to get this class committed and signed."
After the most successful season in the program's DII era last fall, SNU will look to use this strong class to continue building the program to new heights. The Storm will kick off the 2023 season at home against Harding on September 2nd.
