Box Score DURANT, Okla. — The quick start by Southern Nazarene Friday looked like it might be headed for a sweep after SNU took the first set from No. 7 Washburn, but the switch got flipped as SNU fell 3-1 (23-25, 25-14, 25-17, 25-13).

The Crimson Storm (3-2) though bounced back with a clean sweep of Langston in a 3-0 (25-23, 25-15, 25-15) win to split the day.

Against Washburn,
Taylor Jacobs had 10 kills, nine digs and five blocks against the Ichabods (5-0) while
Kaylee Piatt had 27 assists, six kills and four digs.

Southern Nazarene gave Washburn a bit of a scare early as SNU hit .325 (15-2-40) in the opening set and held the Ichabods to just a .227 clip. Jacobs and Bowie each had four kills in the set while Piatt had 13 assists in the set. The Storm trailed just twice in the set and were down 21-20 when two straight errors put SNU on top 22-21. Washburn tied it at 22 when two more errors gave the Storm set point at 24-22. The Ichabods closed it to 24-23 before another WU error gave SNU the set.

It was all Washburn through from that point on as SNU didn't hit over .138 in the final three sets.

Lexie Matthews led the way in the win over the Lions as the sophomore had 11 kills, seven digs and two blocks. She also hit .400 on the day.
Elyse Berlin dished out 21 assists and had five digs.
Abbey Bell posted 11 digs while
Dani Chase had 10.
Emilee Crawford also had three blocks.
