Box Score MONTICELLO, Ark. — Southern Nazarene came so close to its first win of the season as it had a fresh set of downs, two minutes to play and was inside Arkansas-Monticello's territory, but the Boll Weevils got a turnover on downs and then an interception in the final minute to seal up a 22-19 win.

The Crimson Storm (0-8, 0-8 GAC) scored its first lead of the year when
Ian Sanders drilled a 27-yard field goal early in the first quarter to take a 3-0 lead. The Boll Weevils (5-3, 5-3 GAC) though scored 17 straight to take a 17-3 lead. The Storm got on the board late in the second quarter when
Cass White pulled in an eight-yard pass from
Trey Hills to make it 17-9. That was just one play after
Sherrod Daniels picked off his second pass of the year. UAM though blocked the kick on the point after try and took it back for two points and carried a 19-9 lead into the half.

Sanders got the Storm within one possession with a 31-yard field goal with 5:52 left in the third quarter as SNU cut it to 19-12, but the Weevils answered four minutes later with a field goal to make it 22-12.

Later in the fourth quarter, SNU had Monticello pinned back deep and got a favorable punt to that put SNU at first and 10 at the UAM 39. Seven plays later
Trey Knowles capped the drive with a 1-yard run and the Storm were just down 22-19.

The Storm forced another punt on UAM's next possession and started to march. SNU picked up two three first downs in the drive, including an eight-yard pass from Hills to
Brennan DiChiara as the Storm got a first down at the UAM 49-yard line with about two minutes to play. The Weevils though were able to force four straight incomplete passes to force a turnover on downs.

SNU wasn't completely out of the game though as the Storm forced a three-and-out and used all three timeouts to get the ball back at their own 28-yard line. UAM though forced SNU to use all four downs before giving the ball back over on downs to end the game.

Trey Hills threw for a career-high 233 yards and a touchdown as the Storm threw for 263 yards and ran for 76 for 339 total yards.
Brian Yenor led all rushers with 78 yards.
Cass White tied a school single-game record with 13 catches as he had 83 yards receiving and a touchdown.
Jakeil Everhart and DiChiara each had four catches as Everhart had 74 yards receiving while Dichiara had 53.

The Storm gave up a season-low 223 yards with just 125 on the ground and 98 through the air.

Blake Cavill recorded his third straight game with double-digit tackles as he notched game high 14.
Sherrod Daniels notched a career-high 11 tackles and
Matthew Gregg had 10.
Jonathan Archie also had the team's only sack.

The Crimson Storm now head to Southwestern Oklahoma State for a 2 p.m. kickoff as SNU plays its final road Great American Conference game of the season.
