BETHANY, Okla. —
Southern Nazarene hits the road again this week as it travel to Arkansas-Monticello in hopes of gaining the first win of the year for the Crimson Storm. SNU will have to play three of its final four games on the road with back-to-back games away from Bethany in the next two weeks. The Storm are coming off a 66-17 loss to Southern Arkansas at home while the Boll Weevils are coming off a 41-27 win against NAIA opponent Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.). 

LAST WEEK
The Crimson Storm had 244 yards of total offense with 126 coming on the ground and 118 through the air. It was the first time since Oct. 27, 2012, that SNU has had more rushing yards than passing yards in a game.

Brian Yenor led the way for the Storm on the ground with 88 yards rushing. Dylan Terry and Trey Hills each threw for a touchdown as Terry went 14-for-24 for 96 yards while Hills went 3-for-8 for 22 yards.

Johnathan Martin had five catches for 22 yards while brother Jarod Martin had one catch for 26 yards.

Blake Cavill led the way for SNU on the defensive side of the ball with 13 tackles and a pass breakup. Blake Giles had nine tackles, two of which were for a loss of two yards, and forced a fumble. Tanner Galvin also had a sack for a loss of 13 yards.

The Muleriders (4-3, 4-3 GAC) took a 14-0 lead into the second quarter before SNU got on the board with an Ian Sanders' field goal to make it 14-3 just 37 seconds into the quarter. Southern Arkansas though scored 17 unanswered to take a 31-3 lead at the half.

SAU pushed it to 52-3 early in the second half before the Storm scored with just nine seconds remaining in the third quarter. Terry hit Trey Knowles for a two-yard pass to complete a 13-play, 75-yard drive as the Storm cut it to 52-10. Southern Nazarene made it 52-17 with 8:25 to play when Hills found Jakeil Everhart in the corner of the end zone to cap an 11-play, 53-yard drive.

The Muleriders though added two late touchdowns to put the game away.

INSIDE THE GAC
Dylan Terry is eighth in the Great American Conference in passing yards per game at 155.9 and is also eighth in total offense at 143.9 yards per game and has accounted for 1,007 total yards of offense. Ian Sanders is ninth in the GAC in scoring for kickers at 20 points. The senior is 14-for-14 on PATs and is 2-for-4 on field goal attempts. Sanders is also eighth in field goals.

Johnathan Martin is third in kick return in average as the freshman is averaging 16.6 yards per return. Jakeil Everhart is 10th in the GAC in punting yards per kick at 36.4 yards.

Blake Cavill is sixth in the GAC in tackles with 57 and is averaging 8.1 per game. Josh Price is 12th in the conference in tackles at 6.9 per game and has 48 on the year. Christo Lisika and Matthew Greg are also in teh top 25 as both are averaging 6.3 tackles per contest and have 44 total. Lisika also leads the GAC in tackles for a loss  at 11.5 total for a loss of 45 yards and is second in the GAC in sacks at 4.5. Lisika is also third in fumbles forced with two while Derrick Carmouche is tied for second in fumbles recovered with two. 

The Crimson Storm are sixth in the conference in red zone offense having scored in 16 of their 21 attempts. SNU has 13 touchdowns and three field goals.

RECORD CHASING
Dylan Terry became the third player in school history to pass for over 3,000 yards for his career. He stands third all-time in SNU history in career passing yards with 3,120. He has 23 career passing touchdowns ranking him third all-time in school history. He is currently tied with Dan Denardo (2003-04) for third. Tyler Schneider (2004-07) is second with 53 and Brady Wardlaw (2008-11) holds the record at 107. Terry is also fourth all-time in total offensive yards with 2,794.

Jarod Martin went over 2,500 receiving yards in his career and now has 2,552 receiving yards as the school's all-time leader. Martin also holds the school record for receptions at 160 and touchdown receptions with 33. He moved into second all-time this in touchdowns scored, in a tie with Derick Perkins (2009-12), with 33. He also is third all-time in points scored with 198 and needs five more to pass Perkins for second all-time. 

With three more successful PATs, Ian Sanders will become the first kicker in school history to hit 100. 

ABOUT THE BOLL WEEVILS
Arkansas-Monticello ranks seventh in the Great American Conference is scoring offense at 29.7 points per game. The Boll Weevils are averaging 371.1 yards of total offense per game which ranks them eighth in the GAC. UAM is ninth in rushing at 108.3 yards per game and is fifth in passing at 262.9 yards per game. The Weevils are also eighth in pass efficiency at 118.8.

Rod Smith is a key figure in the running game for the Weevils as the junior is averaging 59.9 yards per game and is averaging 3.2 yards per carry. It's a two-headed monster for UAM at quarterback as two sophomores, Colton Morrison and Cody Trimble, are both in the top 10 in the GAC in passing yards per game. Morrison averages 143.9 yards per game while Trimble averages 125.3 yards per contest. Skylar Scott and Jamal Nixon rank fifth and seventh in the GAC in receptions per game at 5.6 and 5.3. the two are also ranked seventh and ninth in receiving yards per game at 79.1 and 67.4.

Special teams plays a huge roll in the offensive attack for Monticello. Jamie McGee ranks third in the GAC in points scored per game at 8.9. The freshman kicker is 14-for-16 in field goal attempts and is 20-for-22 in PATs. He has scored 62 points on the year and leads all kickers in points scored. The return game is also a high point on the special teams as UAM is ranked third in kickoff returns and is second in punt returns. The Weevils average 22.4 yards per return on kickoffs and 10.1 yard per return on punts. Ivory Washington is the Weevils main threat in kickoff returns. In 14 returns, Washington has 314 yards in returns with a long return of 36 yards. Reagan Wise is also seventh in punting at 37.5 yards per punt.

UAM is also third in the GAC in red zone offense as it is 24-for-27 on red zone chances. The Weevils have 16 touchdowns downs and eight field goals.

The Boll Weevils are giving up an average of 29.7 points per game and 410.3 yards per game. Opponents are averaging 236.3 yards per game on the ground and 174.0 yards per game through the air. Monticello comes into the game with the best pass defense in the GAC. The Weevils are second in the conference in interceptions with nine and are eighth in sacks with nine as well.

Keith Reynolds leads UAM in tackles with 51, ranking ninth in the conference. Shittu Salami has 2.5 sacks on the year and is second in tackles for a loss with 10 for a loss of 41 yards. Mike Early and Demarcus Robinson are two of the best defensive backs in the GAC as Robinson is sixth in passes defended with eight and Early is seventh with seven. Early is also third in interceptions with three.
