Box Score BETHANY, Okla. — Sedrick Johnson set the school's single-season receptions mark with four catches for Southern Nazarene as SNU closed out the 2012 season with a 42-0 win over College of Faith.
The senior wide receiver broke the previous record of 65 set by Kevin Brooks in 2009. The four catches put Johnson at 68 catches for the season.
Derick Perkins also ran for 122 yards on 18 carries and scored four touchdowns as the Crimson Storm (2-9) ran for 198 yards as a team and threw for 98 for a total of 296 yards of offense. SNU held College of Faith to negative one yard total.
Dylan Terry went 10-for-14 passing and threw one touchdown.
Chris Hunter also ran for 53 yards with a touchdown on eight carries
Perkins scored his first touchdown on a three-yard run that capped a six-play, 46-yard drive as SNU took a 7-0 lead. The senior then capped a 53-yard drive with a six-yard run to give the Storm a 14-0 lead to end the first half. SNU took a 21-0 lead into intermission on Perkin's third touchdown of the day that came with four minutes left in the second. Perkins gave SNU a 28-0 lead to start the fourth after SNU blocked a punt and then used the first play from College of Faith six-yard line to score.
Sedrick Johnson then added a touchdown late in the third before Hunter put the final touches on the game in the fourth.
Southern Nazarene now will get set for a full Great American Conference schedule in 2013 as SNU will play five home games and five road games in GAC play with an open date yet to be announced.
