Storm can't dig out of hole in Ada

SNU steps out of GAC play Friday to play Tabor.
Box Score ADA, Okla. — Nicole Greenway ripped a team-high 10 kills and hit .421 for Southern Nazarene in a 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 26-24) loss at East Central.
 
The Crimson Storm (8-16, 5-4 GAC) hit just .052 and were out dug 58-45 in the loss.
 
Greenway also had three digs and two blocks. Natalia Oliveira also had six kills and nine digs while Taylor Chase had 22 assists and four digs. Jamie Hope also had a career-high 15 digs.
 
East Central hit .157 and was led by Noelle Cope who had 10 digs and hit .381.
 
The Lady Tigers broke open the first set early when they used a 12-3 run to break a 9-9 tie and take a 21-12 lead. ECU cruised from there to take a 1-0 lead in the match. The Crimson Storm jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the second, but the Lady Tigers used a 11-5 run to lead 12-10 and held SNU at bay the rest of the way to lead 2-0. In the final set the two traded leads seven times and tied 11 times before ECU broke a 24-24 tie with back-to-back kills to end the match.
 
Southern Nazarene will now get set to travel to Tabor (Kan.), Friday, for a 5:30 p.m. match.
