SNU scored back-to-back 3-1 wins

NORTH NEWTON, Kan. — Taryn Steele was just one dig short of a triple-double with 11 kills, 43 assists and nine digs in a 3-1 win over Bethel (Kan.) and she also had 20 assists in a 3-1 win over St. Mary (Kan.).

SNU first took care of St. Mary as Kira Roberts led the way with 10 kills while Morgan Loewen was right behind with nine. Martin Martin also had six digs. Steele notched six kills and dished out 20 assists to go with her match-high 12 digs. She also had three blocks while Danielle Hampton served a trio of aces.

Sarah Groesbeck posted 10 digs while Brittany Sexton notched eight. Kacee Montgomery also recorded there blocks.

Against Bethel, four Crimson Storm recorded double-figure kills as Loewen led the way with 15 kills. Hampton, Steele and Kira Roberts all ripped 11 kills while Angela Evans had nine kills. Evans also posted three blocks. Sarah Groesbeck notched her second 20-dig match this season with 22 just three behind her season high. Martin notched 15 digs while Sexton and Steele had nine.

Southern Nazarene returns to conference action Monday when it hosts St. Gregory's at 7 p.m.
