Biography
SNU Career Highlights:
Junior Season: Steele played in 34 matches (125 sets) and was named All-SAC second team after she ripped 333 kills; the third most on the team. She averaged 2.66 kills per set. Steele also was second on the team in digs with 487 (3.90 dps.) and recorded 55 blocks and 17 aces. She set a career-high with 33 digs and ripped a season-high 18 kills against Evangel (Mo.). Steele led the team with 14 double-doubles. She posted 20 or more digs in seven matches and had double figure digs in 27 matches. Steele recorded seven blocks against Oklahoma Baptist.
Sophomore Season: After two years off from the volleyball court, Steele returned to the SNU team in 2008 and had an immediate impact, earning an All-Sooner Athletic Conference honorable mention after finishing second on the team in kills with 275. Steele averaged 1.67 kils per game and had an attack percentage of .123. Steele added 21 service aces and was second on the team in digs with 500, averaging 3.97 per game. She was also fourth on the team in blocks with 47. Steele's 500 digs was a career high.
Freshman Season: Steele earned All-Sooner Athletic Conference second team honors while being named the SAC Freshman of the Year. During the season, Steele earned SAC Player of the Week honors and finished the year as a all-region second team selection. Williams collected 347 kills, which was fourth best on the team. Steele averaged 2.31 kills per game and added 65 service aces. Defensively, Steele led SNU in blocks with 134, averaging 0.89 per game. She also finished with 382 digs, averaging 2.55 digs per game.
High School Highlights:
Mustang High School (Mustang, Okla.): Steele earned all-state honors and was the team MVP as a junior and senior.
