WICHITA, Kan. — Southern Nazarene had several athletes compete in track and field Friday and Saturday at the KT Woodman.
On Friday on the men's side,
Jake Stephens placed fifth in the discus with a throw of 49.16 meters.
Grayson Haws placed 18
th in the 1500 meter run with a 4:03.65 while
Andrew Leahey placed 12
th in the 5000 meter run with a time of 15:43.85
On the women's side,
Megan Johnson placed fourth in the 5000 meter run with a 18:11.15 and Andrea Mckinney placed eighth in the 10000 meter run with a 41:12.18.
On Saturday SNU had success as well,
Airick Johnson placed third in the 110-meter hurdles with a 14.29. He also placed 16
th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 57.31 while Haws placed 12
th in the 800-meter run with a 1:58.14. Leahey placed 21
st in the 800-meter run with a 1:58.76 and Riwan Jimoh finished in 26
th with a time of 1:59.04.
Loren Heap placed 65
th with a 2:05.85. Deandre Vick placed 23
rd in the 400-meter hurdles with a 58.44.
Colin Pasque took seventh in the pole vault clearing 14.66 meters. The men's 4x400 meter team took seventh with a time of 3:22.37.
Aliyah Nolan finished in 26
th place in the 200-meter dash running a 25.81.
Southern Nazarene will now compete in the NCCAA National Championships starting May 1
st in Rome, GA.
