ALVA, Okla. — A.J. Thomas and C.J. Henry combined for 30 points as both scored 15 for Southern Nazarene in an 84-77 loss to Northwestern Oklahoma State.
The Crimson Storm (10-3, 3-2 SAC) lost its first road game of the season, but it wasn't all Rangers the entire game. SNU led by double figures in the first half thanks to hot shooting by the Storm in the form of eight treys with four coming from Henry who went 4-for-7 from downtown and had five rebounds.
The Rangers got a buzzer beater at the end of the half to cut it to 37-32 and eventually took a double figure lead as well before SNU closed the gap late, but couldn't take down NWOSU on its own court.
SNU shot 50.9 percent (27-53) from the field and hit 11 3-pointers, but went just 12-for-21 from the line and turned the ball over 21 times in the loss. The Rangers turned the ball over just seven times the whole night and went 23-for-32 from the charity stripe.
The Crimson Storm will now have to get to travel to Lubbock Christian, Thursday, for an 8 p.m. tip.
