BETHANY, Okla. - Southern Nazarene Volleyball Head Coach
Kevin Ingram is adding some new talent to the 2025 signing class, welcoming Brelee Mauldin and Avery Ramos to the Crimson Storm.
Avery Ramos | 5-5 | Amarillo, Texas (Bushland High School)
Ramos comes to SNU from Bushland High School, where she made a name for herself as a libero/defensive specialist. She wrapped up her high school career with 1,620 digs, 222 assists, and 102 aces, proving to be a key piece of her team's defense.
She's picked up plenty of honors along the way, including being featured in the Top 15 Players to Watch Article (2024), earning Player of the Game (October 12, 2024), and being named First United Bank Girls Athlete of the Week (2024). She also landed spots on the Texas Panhandle Super Team, Texas Golden Spread All-Star Team, and TGCA All-State Team in 2024.
Ramos was a First Team Libero in 2024 and 2023, earned All-Tournament Team honors in 2024, and was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2023. She also made the Regional Volleyball All-Tournament Team in 2023. Winning has been a big part of her career, as she helped lead her team to State Championships in 2023 and 2024 after finishing as a State Runner-Up in 2022.
Brelee Mauldin | 5-10 | Gunter, Texas (Gunter High School) | Univ. of Arkansas-Fort Smith
Mauldin, a setter, is making her way to SNU after starting her college career at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith. At UAFS, she put up 193 assists, 129 digs, and 27 aces.
Before that, she was a standout at Gunter High School, where she racked up 1,500 career assists and played a big role in her team's success. She earned plenty of honors in 2023, including making the 3A State Championship All-Tournament Team, being named District Setter of the Year, and earning a spot on the 3A THSCA Super Elite Team. She also picked up 3A TWSA Honorable Mention and TGCA All-State/Academic All-State honors. Her team had plenty of success too, finishing as 3A State Runner-Up in 2021 and 2023, and winning the State Championship in 2022.
Mauldin will also join her sister, Rayanna Mauldin, an outside hitter who has played two seasons for the Crimson Storm.
