BROKEN ARROW, Okla.—Southern Nazarene University Men's Golf added one last tournament to their fall schedule at the Tulsa Cup on Monday and Tuesday. They put together a great showing, placing 7th in a field of 17 teams.
The Crimson Storm stayed consistent through all three rounds, shooting 309-306-307 for a three-round total of 922 (+58). They were just nine strokes off of a top-three finish, and 15 strokes behind Rogers State for the team title.
SNU was paced by Dawson Dunlap, who finished just outside the top-10 at T-11. He finished 9-over for the tournament. He totaled eight birdies, as well as one eagle, for the tournament.
Landon Hendrix followed Dunlap with a T-22 placing. He shot rounds of 78, 75, and 77 and totaled eight birdies in the tournament.
Aidan Webster finished third for the Crimson Storm and placed T-39 in the field. He was as high as 17th after round two, but was unable to keep the pace. He also had eight birdies over his three rounds and finished 18-over for the tournament.
Josh Van Niekerk and Theo Naus rounded out the SNU lineup. Van Niekerk placed T-57 with a three round score of 239 (+23). He notched seven birdies for the tournament. Naus placed T-78 with a three round score of 237 (+31).
The solid showing at the Tulsa Cup finishes off Southern Nazarene's fall schedule. They will return to tournament play in February as they gear up for the Great American Conference Championship Tournament in April.
