HUMBLE, Texas—Southern Nazarene hosted the Houston Classic at the Golf Club of Houston in Humble, Texas, with teams competing over three rounds on the 7,422-yard, par-72 layout.
Dallas Baptist claimed the team title at -16, while Harding finished second at +4, followed by Central Oklahoma and Midwestern State rounding out the top four. The individual title went to Bryant Hiskey II of Houston at -13.
SNU placed 16th as a team, finishing at +75 with round scores of +33, +21, and +21. The Crimson Storm showed steady improvement after the opening round and maintained that level of play through the final two rounds.
Enzo Johnson and Dawson Dunlap led the way for SNU, each finishing tied for 56th at +13. Johnson carded rounds of 79, 76, and 74, while Dunlap posted scores of 79, 74, and 76 to pace the Crimson Storm throughout the tournament.
The rest of the SNU lineup included Bryce Dunlap, who finished 74th at +19 (80-77-78), Simon McBride in 88th at +30 (83-82-81), and Drew Hansen in 90th at +44 (90-87-83). Competing as an individual, Davis Cunningham placed 82nd at +21.
Southern Nazarene will return to action Feb. 23–24 at the Crusader Cup in Irving, Texas.
