EDMOND, Okla.—Southern Nazarene wrapped up play at the Oak Tree Invitational with a two-round total of +97 to finish 18th in a competitive field at Oak Tree Country Club East Course. The event, played on a 7,102-yard, par-70 layout, was shortened to 36 holes as players battled cold conditions on Monday that pushed the start time back to 1:30 p.m.
Individually, Dawson Dunlap led the Crimson Storm, finishing T47 with rounds of 76-79 (+15).
SNU had a tight grouping in the middle of the lineup, with Simon McBride and Jace Black both finishing T89 at +27. McBride carded rounds of 84-83, while Black posted scores of 83-84, highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 4th hole during his opening round.
Harper Phillips and Braden Taylor each finished T97 at +30, with Phillips shooting 86-84 and Taylor finishing at 84-86.
Competing as individuals, Drew Hansen and Bryce Dunlap both finished T101 at +40. Hansen recorded rounds of 92-88, while Bryce Dunlap posted 92-88 as well.
West Texas A&M claimed the team title at +28, while Texas A&M International's Juan Monckeberg captured the individual championship at +1.
The Crimson Storm will return to action March 23-24 at the Midwestern State Invitational in Wichita Falls, Texas.
