PITTSBURG, Kan. — Southern Nazarene Track and Field members headed North to Kansas to race in Pittsburg State's Gorilla Classic meet over the weekend

SNU had a shorter roster this outing as short-distance runners were the majority of the representation this meet.

For the women, there were numerous runners racing in the 60-meter dash: Aaliyah Drake (8.65), Dajia Davis (8.39), Lyric Henry (8.15), Morgan James (8.13), and Carissa Burns (8.10).

The women also competed in the 400-meter relay, placing first in their heat with a time of 4:09.19 

For the men, D'Kari Smith finished 44th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22:23. Darrius Blackshire represented in the 600-yard run, placing 22nd with a time of 1:13.93.

The men also placed 6th in their heat in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:21.71.

The Storm will head across state lines once again to Nebraska to compete in Nebraska's Tune-Up meet on February 18th.
