Crimson Storm Competes at Pitt State The Almost Last Chance Invitational

McAlexander and Bufford highlight strong performances for Southern Nazarene in Saturday’s field events

PITTSBURG, Kan. - Southern Nazarene traveled to Pittsburg, Kansas to compete in the Pitt State The Almost Last Chance Invitational on Saturday, with the Crimson Storm turning in strong performances in both the men's and women's field events.

On the men's side, junior Colter Bufford recorded an eighth-place finish in the javelin with an NCAA Division II mark of 59.74 meters (196' 0").

In the women's shot put, Micky McAlexander led the way for the Storm with a third-place finish after posting an NCAA Division II mark of 14.13 meters (46' 4.25").

Freshman Lexi Atteberry also delivered a strong performance in the shot put, placing seventh overall with a mark of 12.98 meters (42' 7").

Next Up
The Crimson Storm will now turn their focus to the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships, set for May 21-23.
