PITTSBURG, Kan. - The Southern Nazarene Men's and Women's indoor & track field athletes appeared at the Wendy's/Pittsburg State Invitational this weekend, posting two top-30 finishes.
In the Women's action, Senior Sophia Weisburch led SNU's Women with a 27th place finish in the 600 meter event with a time of 1:48.65. Sophmore
Madalyn Harper competed in the mile event and finished in 34th place with a time of 5:31.95. Lastly for the Women, Senior
Rachel Hurtz finished the 800 meter run in 59th place with a time of 2:30.75.
To lead the Storm overall, Senior
Myles Anderson posted a 12th place (1:22.34) finish in the 600 meter run. Others from SNU runners competing in this event were
Ryan Audette and Darris Blackshire. Sophmore
Christian Escritt was able to place in 44th place in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:59.15. Freshman Jesujoba Fibiyi also participated in this race.
To round off the men, Junior
Zach McAlpin placed 50th in the 3000 meter run with a time of 9:04.80.
Southern Nazarene will return back to action in the Gorilla Classic on February 14-15 at Pittsburg State University.
