Box Score ALVA, Okla. — In a game that featured 34 runs on 17 hits and had six errors and 18 walks, the final score resembled more a football score as Southern Nazarene fell 21-13 to Northwestern Oklahoma State.
 
Gaige Webster went 4-for-5 with two RBIs and three runs scored to lead the way for the Crimson Storm (9-23) in the non-conference contest and was one of six players to get a hit for SNU. Dalen Edgar also went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored.
 
SNU used five different pitches as Michael Descisciolo (1-2) took the loss after giving up seven runs on five hits in two innings of work in the start.
 
Northwestern jumped out to a 6-0 lead with four in the first and two in the second, but SNU got on the board with two in the top of the third. The Rangers though took a 10-run lead at 12-2 with a six-run bottom of the third. The Storm responded with six in the top of the fourth to cut it to 12-8, but Northwestern added five more to lead 17-8 in the bottom half. SNU bounced right back with five in the fifth to cut it to 17-13, but the Rangers cut the Storm off from there. Northwestern added two more insurance runs in the bottom of the fifth and one each in the sixth and eighth innings to pull away.
