Edgar Pineda continued their hot starts to start the season as Rodgers scored two goals and Pineda scored one against Dallas Baptist, but it wasn't enough as Dallas Baptist scored a golden goal in the 100
th minute to seal the game 4-3.

Southern Nazarene (1-2-0) got on the board first when
Ismael Fernandez's shot ricocheted right to Rodgers and he put the ball past the keeper in the 37
th minute. Dallas Baptist managed to tie the game at the end of the first half with a Landon Lacy header goal from a throw in by Brian Robertson with 45 seconds left to go.

The Patriots got going in the second half when Alex Becerra scored off a cross from the left side of the field by Landon Lacy to create a 2-1 lead. A foul by Dallas Baptist on
Javier Caballeros just outside the penalty box that set up Pineda on a free kick from 20 yards out. He delivered a beautiful shot in the upper left 90 to tie the game at 2-2.

Another foul on the Patriots set up the Crimson Storm's third goal of the night as Pineda was taken down inside the 18 box. This set up Rodgers' second goal of the night off a penalty kick that he put in the bottom left corner of the net that gave SNU a 3-2 lead.

Dallas Baptist regained momentum quickly as Riley Alvey scored on a shot from the middle of the field that ricocheted off the left post to tie the game at 3-3 in the 72
nd minute. SNU had a couple of chances to take the lead in the remainder of regulation, but were unable to put any of their five shots on goal in the net. SNU also went down a man with 15 minutes left in the game when
Tyler Lloyd received a red card and SNU had to play the remainder of the game down a man.

The Patriots were able to build off their momentum from their game-tying goal in regulation to put the pressure on SNU's defense with three shots in the OT period. Only one of them was on goal, but it was the golden goal by Brandon O'Donovan in the 100
th minute that sealed the victory for the Patriots. The Crimson Storm only shot of the overtime period was a great shot by Fernandez that was blocked by a DBU player.

SNU attempted 24 shots in the game with ten being on goal. DBU attempted 18 shots with eight being on goal.

There were three lead changes in the game and it was tied on three separate occasions.

DBU's Mason Stringer recorded six saves and SNU's
Jeff Ray recorded four saves.

Rodgers has had a goal or an assist in three consecutive games and Pineda has a scored a goal in three consecutive games.
