Crimson Storm Fall to Tigers at Wes Harmon Field

Southern Nazarene comes up short in a 1-0 match against Ouachita Baptist and will now look ahead to the 2026 season

BETHANY, Okla. - Southern Nazarene closed out their 2025 season on Saturday evening at Wes Harmon Field, falling 1-0 to Ouachita Baptist.

The Crimson Storm (6-8-3, 4-6-2 GAC) came out with energy, creating several chances in the first half. Jordy Vasquez got things going early, followed by a solid attempt from Tiago Moreira that was saved by Ouachita Baptist(6-9-3,4-7-1 GAC)  keeper, Dillon Staal. SNU goalkeeper Aimar Aramendia came up big on the other end with a save against Nathan Buwemi, but the Tigers managed to break through shortly after to take a 1-0 lead.

Southern Nazarene kept pressing, as Moreira sent another shot just high, and Junior Duran tested Staal again with a low strike. Kaden Slaven added a pair of strong looks before halftime, but Staal turned both away to keep the Tigers in front. The Crimson Storm went into the half trailing 1-0.

In the second half, the Storm continued to push for the equalizer. Duran fired another shot, followed by a blocked attempt from Adnan Boulaghmal. Slaven and Bekir Lekic each had looks go just wide, while Braxton Decker forced one more save from Staal late in the match.

Southern Nazarene kept pushing until the final whistle but couldn't find the back of the net, falling 1-0 to the Tigers in their final match of the season. The Crimson Storm will now turn their focus to the 2026 season.
