Crimson Storm Collect Multiple All-GAC/MIAA Honors

SNU players earn postseason and academic awards as they turn their focus to 2026

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - The 2025 All-GAC/MIAA Men's Soccer awards are out, and Southern Nazarene had several players recognized for their strong seasons with the Crimson Storm.

Leading the way, senior defender Keshon Carter earned First Team All-GAC/MIAA honors for the second year in a row. Carter was a key leader on the back line, starting all 17 matches for SNU and logging an impressive 1,485 minutes and 41 seconds on the season. He added two assists offensively while maintaining an .800 shot on goal percentage with eight total shots on target.

Earning Second Team honors forward Junior Duran, who followed up last year's First Team selection with another solid season. Duran appeared in 13 matches, making nine starts and totaling 750 minutes of play. He scored four goals, tallied eight points, and finished fifth in the GAC in total shots 31 and fourth in the conference in game winning goals with a .154 average. Duran continued to be a reliable offensive weapon for the Crimson Storm, creating scoring chances and coming up big in clutch moments.

Also picking up Second Team recognition was defender Baptiste Auvray, who shined in his first season with the Crimson Storm. Auvray started all 17 matches, recording 1,285 minutes of playing time. He added one goal and one assist on the season, giving SNU solid play and control in the midfield throughout the year.

On the Honorable Mention list, midfielder Francisco Chong earned recognition after another strong performance for the Storm. Last year's First Team honoree appeared in 13 matches and made eight starts this season, logging 619 minutes on the field. Chong scored four goals and added one assist for a total of nine points, ranking 10th in the GAC in both goals average, 0.308 and total points average, 0.69.

Joining him on the Honorable Mention list was defender Tiago Moreira, who made a strong impression in his first year with Southern Nazarene. Moreira played in 12 matches, starting 11, and totaled 1,018 minutes of action. He also added some offensive punch, scoring three goals and taking 14 shots, with a .500 shot on goal percentage.

The Crimson Storm also had a strong showing in the classroom, with 10 players named to the GAC/MIAA Academic Honor Roll: Benjamin Alimasi, Aimar Aramendia, Konner Baartman, Lucas Beja, Christian Irizarry, Bekir Lekic, Josue Moreno, Dylan Roberts, Lawm Sangzuala, and Jordy Vasquez.
Southern Nazarene wrapped up another solid season in the GAC/MIAA, showing strong effort both on the field and in the classroom.
