Lubbock Christian swept SNU Friday afternoon

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 LUBBOCK, Texas. — Lubbock Christian defeated Southern Nazarene 16-3 in the first game and beat the Crimson Storm 12-2 in the nightcap.
 
In the first game SNU (16-31) scored the games first run in the top of the second inning when Anthony Wiggins Jr., singled to right center to score Michael Lowe from third to give the Storm a 1-0 lead. SNU added another run in the inning when Ryan O'Donnell singled to center field to score Kyle Fultz to give the Storm an early 2-0 lead.
 
The Chaparrals (34-10) answered with a run in the bottom of the second inning off a home run to make the score 2-1 and added nine more runs to take their fist lead of the game at 10-2.
 
Lubbock Christian stretched its lead to 11-2 with a run in the bottom of the third. Shortly after, the Storm scored in the top of the fourth when Damian Santamaria found his way to the plate after Morrow put it in play to the pitcher to make the score 11-3. Lubbock Christian added another run in the bottom of the fourth to make it 12-3 before scoring four more runs in the top of the fifth to extend its lead to 16-3 and held on from there.
 
Tyler Wilson (2-7) took the loss for the Storm giving up eight hits and nine runs in one inning pitched.
 
Wiggins Jr., went 2-for-2 with an RBI while Santamaria went 1-for-2 with a run scored.
 
In the nightcap, the Storm took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning when Chance San Miguel doubled to left field to score Dillon Feland.
 
The Chaparrals though, scored five runs in the bottom of the first and four runs in the bottom of the second to take a 9-1 lead.
 
SNU added another run in the top of the fourth when Ryan O'Donnell put it in play to the shortstop to score Michael Descisciolo and made the score 9-2. Lubbock Christian went on to score a run in the bottom of the fourth and two runs in the bottom of the sixth to make it 12-2 and they finished things off from there.
 
Thomas Solowynsky (1-6) took the loss for SNU giving up 12 hits and 10 runs in five innings pitched.
 
San Miguel went 2-for-3 with an RBI while O'Donnell went 1-for-2 with an RBI.
 
SNU will conclude its season tomorrow against Lubbock Christian at 1 p.m.
