Box Score 2 BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene knocked off Hillsdale Baptist 14-5 in the first game and defeated the Saints 17-1 in the nightcap.

The Saints scored one run in the first inning to jump out to an early 1-0 lead but it did not last long.

The Crimson Storm (10-11) Storm then answered with two runs in the bottom of the first inning when
Kyle Fultz hit a single to the left side that scored
Chance San Miguel to tie the score at 1-1. SNU scored another run in the inning when
Caleb Teel hit a double through the left side to score
Michael Lowe and gave the Storm their first lead of the day at 2-1.

SNU added three runs in the bottom of the second inning when
Austin Samulowitz hit a single to left field and scored
Zach Friesen to take SNU's lead to 3-1. Samulowitz then found his way home after San Miguel put it in play to left field to stretch the Storm's lead to 4-1. The Storm scored one more run in the inning when
Michael Lowe hit a single to left field and scored San Miguel to stretch SNU's lead to 5-1.

The Storm then put up five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take a 10-1 lead. Hillsdale Baptist though, scored four runs in the top of the fourth inning to shrink the Storm's lead to 10-5.

SNU was able to add four more runs and hold on for the win.

Michael Descisciolo (2-1) earned the win for the Storm giving up 12 hits and five runs in six innings pitched.

Lowe went 4-for-4 with five RBIs and hit his first home run of the season. Samulowitz went 4-for-4 with three RBIs while Fultz went 3-for-5 with two RBIs.

In the nightcap, the Storm got the bats going in the first inning when San Miguel hit a single to left field to score Santamaria and Samulowitz to give the Storm a 2-0 lead. Lowe then blasted a two run home run over the right field fence and gave SNU a 4-0 lead.
Scott Stanley then hit a sacrifice fly to left field to score Fultz and extended the lead to 5-0.

SNU added six more runs in the top of the second inning. Fultz hit a double to second base that scored Samulowitz and San Miguel to give the Storm a 7-0 lead. Stanley hit a single to center field that scored Lowe and Fultz to extend SNU's lead to 9-0. Stanley then found his way home after
Zach Friesen put it in play to first base to stretch the Storm's lead to 10-0. SNU scored one more run when Morrow hit a double to right field and scored Friesen to give SNU an 11-0 lead.

The Storm scored seven more runs and only allowed Hillsdale to tally one run as SNU held on for the 17-1 victory.

Mason Pinion (2-0) earned the win for the Storm giving up three hits and no runs in five innings pitched. He also struck out six batters.

San Miguel went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Fultz went 3-for-5 with three RBIs. Lowe went 1-for-2 with two RBIs.

SNU will now host Southeastern Oklahoma State for a Great American Conference game, Friday, at 2 p.m.
