Box Score 2 BETHANY Okla. — Southwestern Oklahoma State swept Southern Nazarene Saturday knocking off the Crimson Storm 8-0 in the opener and winning 7-5 in the nightcap.

In the first game SWOSU (7-7, 5-4 GAC) scored the first game's first two runs in the third inning. The Bulldogs then scored two more runs in the top of the fifth inning to stretch their lead to 4-0 and exploded for four runs in the sixth inning to take their lead to 8-0 and held on from there.

Tyler Wilson (1-2) took the loss for SNU (7-9, 1-8 GAC) as he gave up 10 hits and eight runs in 6.0 innings pitched.

In the nightcap, the Bulldogs scored two runs to take an early 2-0 lead. The Storm then got on the board in the second inning when
Damian Santamaria scored on a wild pitch that helped the Storm cut SWOSU's to 2-1.

SWOSU answered with two more runs in the top of the third inning and expanded its lead to 4-1. The Storm added another run in the bottom of the third when
Chance San Miguel hit a double down the right side to score
Riley Morrow to make the score 4-2. The Bulldogs then added three more runs in the top of the seventh inning to extend their lead to 7-2.

Michael Lowe hit a single to left field to score
Austin Samulowitz and cut SWOSU's lead to 7-4. Anthony Wiggins Jr., then hit a single through the left side to score Lowe and bring the Storm within two runs at 7-5. SNU had the bases loaded with two outs and the tying run on second base before Tyler Hampton struck out Danny Martinez to end the game for the Bulldogs.

Kyle Vail (1-3) took the loss for SNU giving up seven runs on five hits in seven innings pitched.

Morrow went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored. San Miguel went 2-for-4 with two RBIs while Wiggins Jr., went 2-for-4 and had an RBI.

SNU will now host former Sooner Athletic Conference opponent Rogers State, Tuesday, at 2 p.m.
