SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Southern Nazarene University could not slow down Point Loma Nazarene Thursday night falling 7-0 to the Sea Lions.

The Crimson Storm (1-2) held a scoreless tie with Point Loma (1-1) until the 11th minute when Nico Tagaloa scored his first goal of the season for the Sea Lions after receiving the assist from Brady Johansen. Only 15 minutes later Point Loma notched another goal by Richardo Martinez to give the Sea Lions a 2-0 lead. Southern Nazarene then scored on its own goal after trying to break up a pass in the 34th minute. The Sea Lions then got another goal from Nico Tagaloa in the 38th minute after getting the assist from Dylan Wingrove. Point Loma connected on three more goals on the night and forced a shutout.

Tyler Wythe had two saves for the Storm as the Sea Lions put nine of their 14 shots on goal. The Storm put three of their seven shots on the frame.

Next up for the Storm they will go to El Cajon, Calif., on Saturday for a game against San Diego Christian at 1 p.m. (CDT).Â
