Rangers Take Two From Storm

Southern Nazarene dropped two to Northwestern OSU

San Miguel hit his third and fourth home runs on the day.
Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 BETHANY, Okla. — Chance San Miguel extended his hitting streak to 12 straight games as the junior recorded a hit in each game of a 15-9 and 2-0 doubleheader loss to Northwestern Oklahoma State.
 
San Miguel went 3-for-4 with two home runs, four RBIs and three runs scored in the opener as SNU had 15 hits total. Jacob Inbody went 3-for-6 with two runs scored while Nate Saquilon and Luis Hernandez each went 2-for-5. Matt Berry (1-5) took the loss after Berry gave up nine runs on 11 hits in 6.2 innings of work.
 
The Rangers climbed to a 5-1 lead before SNU got on the board in the bottom of the third with a an Austin Samulowitz single down the left field line. SNU got another one back on a Ryan O'Donnell single and then added two more on a San Miguel two-run home run to left. The Storm tied it at 5-5 in the sixth on a NWOSU error, but NWOSU answered with nine in the seventh and never trailed again.
 
SNU added two in the seventh on a Nate Saquilon home run before San Miguel hit his second of the night.
 
It was just the opposite in the nightcap as the Storm were held to just three hits. All three hits came from different players. Tim Coleman (1-3) took the loss after giving up two runs, one in the first and third, on seven hits in six innings of work.
 
SNU and Northwestern will conclude the series, Saturday, at 1:30 p.m.
