Southeastern Takes Doubleheader from SNU

Savage Storm sweeps Crimson Storm

Saquilon has three home runs on the year.
Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 DURANT, Okla. — Nate Saquilon hit his third home run of the year and was just one of two Southern Nazarene players to record hits in each game of the doubleheader as SNU fell 11-1 and 4-2 to Southeastern Oklahoma State.
 
Southeastern broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the fifth, in the opener, with three and then added another in the sixth to take a 4-0 lead. The Storm got on the board in the top of the seventh on a Nate Saquilon RBI single to make it 4-1, but the Savage Storm put it away in the bottom of the eighth with seven to score the run rule.
 
Ryan Brosnan led the way for the Storm, going 2-for-4. Tim Coleman (1-5) took the loss after giving up four runs on five hits in six innings of work.
 
Saquilon went 1-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored in the second game. The senior also look the loss as he fell to 2-3 on the year after giving up four runs, two earned, on six hits in 4.2 innings of work.
 
The Savage Storm built a 4-0 lead with one in the second and three in the third, but SNU got one back in the fourth with a leadoff home run to right by Saquilon in the fourth. The Storm got another one back in the fifth on a sac fly to center by Saquilon.
 
That was it for the offense though for Southern Nazarene as it moved to 6-16 overall and 3-12 in the GAC.
