Southern Nazarene picked up its second straight win

Santamaria has hit safely in each of the first four games.
Box Score BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene took advantage of 13 walks and six hit batters in a 13-6 win over St. Gregory's Tuesday afternoon.
 
The Crimson Storm (2-2) picked up its second straight win as it scored nine runs in the first two innings and held on from there. Nate Saquilon drove home the first run with a single through the right side before Austin Samulowitz delivered a single to make it 2-0. Two walks, a hit batter and a wild pitch scored the final four runs of the inning as SNU took a 6-0 lead through one.
 
The Storm added three more in the bottom of the second as Kyle Fultz was hit with the bases loaded before Daniel Martinez hit a sacrifice fly to center to score Nate Bidelman. Riley Morrow drove home the final run of the inning with a single to right center to make it 9-0.
 
The Storm led 11-0 through four after Jacob Inbody drew a bases-loaded walk and Damian Santamaria hit a sac fly to score Fultz.
 
The Cavaliers (2-3) got on the board in the fifth with one and added two each in the seventh and eighth innings to cut it to 11-5. SNU got an RBI single by Luis Hernandez and another bases-loaded walk from Fultz to push two more insurance runs across to take the 13-5 lead.
 
Santamaria went 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored while both Inbody and Fultz drove in two runs and scored two runs without getting a hit.
 
John Basnight picked up his first win of the season in his first start as he gave up just three earned runs in seven innings of work and he scattered nine hits.
 
Southern Nazarene will now get set to host McPherson (Kan.) Saturday for a noon doubleheader.
