Crimson Storm Closes Season at Home

SNU drops Senior Day doubleheader to Oklahoma Baptist, 12-7 and 6-3

BETHANY, Okla. - The Crimson Storm wrapped up their three game series and their season at Feland Field taking on Oklahoma Baptist for a Senior Day doubleheader. SNU came up short against the Bison, dropping the final two games 12-7 and 6-3.

Game 1
Oklahoma Baptist (23-23,15-18 GAC) got the scoring started early, putting two runs on the board in the top of the second. Southern Nazarene (9-41, 3-31 GAC) answered right back in the bottom half of the inning after Colby Flood blasted a home run to left field to make it 2-1.

OBU built up their lead quickly though, jumping ahead 8-1 by the top of the fourth. The Storm were not going down without a fight, as Antonio Sabala brought in a run on a sacrifice fly and Brady Benedict delivered a two run single to cut the deficit to 8-4 heading into the fifth inning of the game.

The Bison pushed the gap to 10-4 in the next inning, but again, the Storm kept battling. Ryan Talley smashed a double to right center to plate another run and keep SNU within distance.

The Crimson Storm  put two more runs across in the bottom of the seventh inning of the game thanks to a Bison fielding error that allowed Flood and Trey Orman to score, but it wasn't enough to complete the comeback. OBU claimed the first game of the doubleheader 12-7.

Game 2
The Storm struck first in game two as Weston Hicks hit a sacrifice fly to left to give SNU the early 1-0 advantage. The offense kept rolling in the second when Tucker LeMay reached on an error that brought home another run, making it 2-0.

SNU stretched their lead to 3-0 in the third as Talley came through again, singling up the middle to bring home Flood.

The Bison fought back putting together a big inning to rally to overtake the Crimson Storm. OBU scored six runs to take game two 6-3 and complete the series sweep over Southern Nazarene at Feland Field.

The Crimson Storm will set their sights on a strong offseason, looking to build momentum heading into the 2026 season.
