Box Score 2 SEARCY, Ark. — Southern Nazarene is still looking for its first Great American Conference win of the season after it dropped a doubleheader, 9-4 and 6-2 to Harding Saturday afternoon.
The Crimson Storm (3-8, 0-5 GAC) battled from behind all night as it lost its sixth straight game.
Harding took the first lead of the opening game with two in the second and extended it to 6-0 with four in the third. The Storm got on the board in the sixth when Fultz singled to third to score
Austin Samulowitz. The Storm cut the lead to 6-4 with three in the top of the seventh. Samulowitz drove home the first two runs with a triple to center before he scored on a San Miguel single.
The Bisons though put it away with three more in the eighth to pick up the win.
Samulowitz went 2-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored while
Luis Hernandez went 2-for-4.
Daniel Martinez went 2-for-2 with a run scored as well.
Matt Berry (1-3) took the loss after he gave up six runs, five earned, on nine hits in seven innings pitched.
In the nightcap, the Bisons took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third, but SNU took its first lead of the day with two in the fourth.
Damian Santamaria led off the inning with a single up the middle before
Nate Saquilon ripped a two-run home run to tight to give the Storm a 2-1 lead.
Harding though answered with five in the bottom of the fifth to lead 6-2.
Jacob Inbody went 2-for-4 as he was the only play with multiple hits.
Tim Coleman (0-2) took the loss after giving up six runs on nine hits in five innings of work.
SNU will play Harding Sunday at 1 p.m. in the final game of the series.
