The Crimson Storm (1-13, 1-5 MIAA) controlled possession for most of the game, but Jared Newman scored his first goal of the year off a give-and-go with Jason Bishop and UIU put it away. SNU put two shots on goal and had a corner kick in the final 10 minutes but couldn't find the back of the goal.
Hajime Chumpitaz and
Victor Oliveira combined for 13 of the 20 shots taken.
Blake Anderson made four saves in goal while Jordan Bell made seven for the Peacocks.
The Crimson Storm will now play at Truman State, Saturday, for a 2 p.m. MIAA contest.
