Box Score BETHANY, Okla. — No. 15 Southern Nazarene struggled from the opening tip as No. 2 Oklahoma City scored at will in an 87-31 rout of SNU.
The Crimson Storm (13-5, 7-3 SAC) shot just 22 percent from the field and hit just two 3-pointers while the Stars (16-1, 10-1 SAC) shot 41.2 percent from the field and hit 11 treys on the night.
For the first time this year, not one SNU player scored in double figures as
Oumoul Thiam led the way with nine points and three rebounds. OCU had five players in double figures and was led by Nicollette Smith who scored 19 points off of the bench.
Southern Nazarene turned the ball over a season-high 17 times and gave up 36 points off turnovers. The Stars also outrebounded the Storm 52-33 with 20 of those coming on the offensive end. OCU scored 27 of its points just off of offensive boards. The Stars also got 41 points off of the bench.
Southern Nazarene will now get set to travel to Mid-America Christian, Saturday, for a 3 p.m. game.
