RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference released its All-Conference teams Wednesday night, as Jillian Crawford earned All-GAC Honorable Mention honors for the Crimson Storm.
Crawford, a junior from Piedmont, Oklahoma, received the all-conference nod after leading Southern Nazarene in scoring this season at 9.4 points per game. A steady presence in the lineup, she started every game for the Crimson Storm and shot 40 percent from the field while also pacing the team on the glass with 119 total rebounds.
She logged 814 minutes this season and recorded 10 double-digit scoring performances, including a career-high 23 points against Ouachita Baptist.
The honor marks the first postseason accolade of Crawford's career.
Several Crimson Storm players were also recognized for their academic achievements, earning spots on the GAC Academic Honor Roll: Jena Bay, Nessa Begay, Boston Berry, Shannon Burton, Keeley Chaddick, Hannah Duncan, Carley Gasaway, Jordan Hoffman, Lexi Mackey, Braci Nyberg, Silvia Otokhagua, Rachel Perkins, and Mia Singstock.
Southern Nazarene now turns its focus to the GAC Tournament, entering as the No. 8 seed. The Crimson Storm will face top-seeded Harding Bisons in the first round on Thursday, March 5 at 8 p.m. inside Northside Arena in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
