NORTH NEWTON, Kan. — Southern Nazarene did not drop a set all day in a pair of 3-0 wins over Bethel (Kan.) and Tabor (Kan.).
The Crimson Storm (15-4) downed Bethel (25-21, 25-9, 25-20) and beat Tabor (25-13, 25-14, 25-12) to go 3-1 on the week.
The Storm hit .280 (45-17-100) for the match and recorded seven blocks. SNU hit .375 in the second set as they held the Threshers to just nine points.
Ten different players recorded a kill as Roberts led the way with 10 kills. She was followed by Oliveira who notched nine kills and eight digs and Jacobs who had eight kills and five blocks. Piatt had a match-high 34 assists. Jamie Hope and Oliveira each served four aces. Martin notched a team-high 11 digs while Hope, Oliveira and Troup all had eight digs. The Storm hit at a .419 (43-7-86) clip and ripped at .552 (16-0-29) in the second set.
The Storm will not get set to host Mid-America Christian, Tuesday, at 7 p.m.
