BETHANY, Okla. — While Southern Nazarene would like to have a few games back in the 2011 season, Chase Glaum ended his career with something he will definitely hold on to for the rest of his life.

The senior from Aptos, Calif., now stands alone atop SNU's record books for stolen bases in his career. Glaum's stolen base in the bottom of the sixth, of a 6-5 loss to Oklahoma Christian in the opening game of a doubleheader, gave him 38 for his career moving him ahead of Sean Murphy. SNU (17-25, 9-21) bounced back in the second game of the doubleheader with a 7-5 win and Glaum added two more steals to his record as he became first person in school history to reach 40 stolen bases.

OC struck first in the top of the third in the opener on a sacrifice fly to left to take a 1-0 lead, but the Storm tied it in the bottom half on a one-out single up the middle by Chase Glaum.

The Eagles added two more in the top of the fourth to lead 3-1, but the Storm answered again in the bottom half on a two-out, two-run double to left center to score Ryan McIntosh and Ryan Williams to tie it at 3-3. SNU added to lead when Glaum was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded before James Tunnell drew a bases loaded walk.

OC retook the lead at 6-5 in the top of the fifth with three hits that all came with two outs as the Eagles scored three runs. That was all OC needed as Ryan Nash and Taylor Parcus closed the door. Nash (4-1) picked up the win after throwing 2.1 innings of relief before handing it over to Parcus who threw the final inning and allowed just one hit as he picked up his fourth save of the year.

Tim Cole (1-7) took the loss for the Storm after he allowed six runs on six hits in five innings of work.

Glaum went 3-for-3 with two RBIs. Ryan Williams also went 2-for-4 with a run scored.

In the nightcap, OC put the first run on the board with a sac fly to center to lead 1-0 in the third. The Eagles added three more in the fifth to lead 4-0.

SNU got one back in the bottom half of the fifth on a sac fly to left from Glaum and then cut it to 4-3 on a triple down the left field line from Williams. The Eagles though pushed it back to 5-3 with a run in the sixth, but the Storm took the lead for good in the sixth with four runs.

Tanner Roberson drove in the first run of the inning with a double to left center before Alex Hill singled down the right field line to tie the game at 5-5. Glaum then roped a two-out single through the left side to score Austin Samulowitz to put SNU up 6-5, but Williams drove in the final nail with a single through the right side to score Glaum.

Jake Mitcheltree (6-3) closed out his career with a win as he allowed just five runs, four earned, on eight hits in seven innings of work. Glaum went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs and a run scored while Williams went 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Samulowitz scored two runs while going 2-for-3 as well.

It was the final game for five seniors as Glaum, Ryon Butts, Adam Bies, Roberson and Mitcheltree all played their last game for the Crimson Storm.
