Box Score

BETHANY, Okla. —
Chase Glaum and Ryon Butts combined to go 4-for-9 with seven RBIs and a home run each for Southern Nazarene in a 12-7 win over Hastings (Neb.), Tuesday afternoon.

Glaum went 2-for-5 with four RBIs and two runs scored while Butts went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Adam Bies was also perfect at the plate going 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored and Derek Johnson also went 2-for-5 with two RBIs and a run scored.

The Crimson Storm (12-11) have now won back-to-back games for the first time since March 9.

Chris Eastham (5-0) stayed unbeaten as he tossed seven innings of relief after starter John Basnight was lifted after the first inning. Eastham allowed three runs on seven hits and struck out eight. Chase Glaum threw the final inning and struck out the first two batters before walking one and hitting the next two to load the bases before getting a pop up in foul territory to end the game.

SNU gave up four runs in the top of the first inning, but got two back in the bottom half on a two run shot by Butts. SNU then tied the game, at 4-4, in the second on Glaum's first home run of the year. The Storm jumped out to an 8-4 lead in the third after Johnson scored Bies from first on a double to right center and then scored himself on a Hastings' error. The other two runs in the inning came off a Glaum single.

The Broncos picked another run up in the top of the fifth, but SNU answered when Bies drove home Butts with a double to left field to put the Storm up 9-5. Hastings again added another run in the top of the sixth, but SNU responded again. Butts drove in Glaum with a single up the middle before Bies' sac fly to center scored Ryan Williams.

The Broncos cut the lead to 11-7 in the top of the sixth, but that was as close as they came as SNU added another insurance run in the eighth when Johnson doubled down the left field line to score Bies.

Both Williams and James Tunnell each scored a pair of runs as Williams was 2-for-4 at the plate while Tunnell went 2-for-3.

The Crimson Storm now get set to host Oklahoma Baptist, Thursday, for a 3 p.m. SAC game.
