Chaps Complete Sweep of SNU

Lubbock Christian blanked SNU in the final game of a 3-game series

The Storm have now lost five straight.
 
LUBBOCK, Texas — No. 5 Lubbock Christian held Southern Nazarene to just six hits all day as the Chaparrals completed a three-game Sooner Athletic Conference sweep over SNU.
 
Derek Glenn, who went 2-for-4, was just one of five Crimson Storm (2-7, 0-4 SAC) to record a hit as the Chaps (12-0, 3-0 SAC) picked up the seven-inning run rule.
 
Ryon Butts, Austin Samulowitz and Alex Hill all recorded hits as well. Tim Cole (0-2) picked up the loss for the Crimson Storm as he went the first 3.1 innings allowing eight runs on six hits. Chris Eastham and Garrett Callan also saw time in relief.
 
Ryan Meade went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored for LCU as both hits were solo home runs. Tyler Curtis (1-0) picked up the win for the Chaps after going the first five innings. He allowed just four hits and struck out three.
 
SNU left three on base through the first three innings as LCU took a 2-0 lead. SNU left another on base in the fourth, before the Chaps started putting away with seven runs in the bottom of the fourth to lead 9-0. Lubbock Christian put it away in the sixth with two more runs.
 
The Storm will now host Briar Cliff (Iowa) for a 1 p.m. doubleheader Wednesday.
