Box Score

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. —
Milos Milosevic scored a career-high 14 points off the bench and just missed a double-double with nine rebounds for No. 12 Southern Nazarene in a 51-47 loss to John Brown.

Milosevic was the only player in double figures for the Crimson Storm (21-7, 14-6 SAC) who have dropped their last two games. SNU shot just 31.3 percent (15-48) from the field and 18.2 percent (4-22) from beyond the arc.

The Golden Eagles (20-7, 12-7 SAC) are just one of a few teams that outscored SNU in the paint. JBU put up 22 points in the lane while the Storm had just 14. Neither side shot well from the field as John Brown was just 16-of-47 from the field and 4-for-16 from the perimeter.

Adrian Miller led JBU with 13 points while Ryland Allen had 12 off the bench. E.J. McWoods also had 10 points. Xavier Alexander and Horace McGloster each scored nine as Alexander came close to a triple-double with eight boards and seven assists.

SNU held a 20-15 lead late in the first half on an Adrian Hunter 3-pointer, but the Golden Eagles closed the half on a 10-2 run to take a 25-22 lead at intermission. JBU stretched the run to 15-4 when it took a 30-24 lead early in the second half, but SNU cut it down to 30-29 with 13:13 to play.

The Golden Eagles then took their biggest lead of the game, at 44-33, with a 14-4 run with 8:32 left, but SNU responded as Alexander hit a pair at the line to spark a 14-5 run. Milosevic capped the run with back-to-back jumpers as SNU got within two at 49-47. After Milosevic missed the 3-point opportunity at the line SNU had a chance to get the ball back and tie, but a missed jumper went out of bounds back to JBU and Andrius Mikutis sealed the game with a bucket in the paint.

The Crimson Storm will now travel to Mid-America Christian, Thursday, for an 8 p.m. SAC contest.
