Storm Competes at Shocker Open

Storm turns in strong performances at Shocker Open

WICHITA, Kan. - The Crimson Storm made the trip north to compete in the Shocker Open hosted by Wichita State University, wrapping up another strong meet on both the men's and women's sides.

For the men, Dylan Warden had a solid day, placing eighth in the hammer throw with a mark of 41.61 meters and grabbing ninth in the javelin with a throw of 44.68 meters.

On the women's side, Eve Brennan continued her dominant season with a third place finish in the discus, recording a throw of 40.07 meters. Brennan also placed third in the hammer throw with a mark of 46.98 meters, setting a new school record and a personal best in the event.

Sarah Herring collected a seventh place finish in the discus 35.88 meters and placed 11th in the hammer throw with a mark of 31.23 meters.

Two SNU athletes will set their sights on the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in Pueblo, Colorado, set for May 22-24. Abriel Thrash will compete in the heptathlon, and Colter Bufford will represent the Storm in the javelin.
