Crimson Storm Competes at Dallas Baptist Old Glory Gallop

Hilton leads women’s team while Howerton paces men as SNU heads toward GAC Championships in October

FORT WORTH, Texas - Southern Nazarene hit the road Saturday morning to compete in the Old Glory Gallop, hosted by Dallas Baptist University.

On the women's side in the 5K run, Kelsi Hilton led the Crimson Storm, finishing 117th overall with a time of 19:51.21. Abby Salter followed, placing 218th in 21:25.51, Tylie Thrash finished 220th in 21:28.89, Micky McAlexander came in 239th in 21:58.89, Abriel Thrash finished 299th in 23:37.33, and Kaylee Eberhart placed 313th in 24:44.01 out of 340 women runners.


For the men's 8K, Keith Howerton led the team, finishing 296th overall in 28:32.80. Andres Young followed closely, finishing 301st in 28:46.04, Myles Mayfield came in 373rd in 31:03.42, Killian Smith finished 400th in 38:32.08, and Elijah Petties placed 401st in 57:21.11.

Crimson Storm Cross Country will return to action on Saturday, October 25th, at the Great American Conference Championships in Monticello, Arkansas.
