The Last Chance for the Storm

SNU competes at OBU Last Chance meet for their final meet of the season

SHAWNEE, Okla. - The Crimson Storm traveled to Shawnee for their final regular season meet of the year. SNU competed against just a handful of other Division II and Junior College teams to hit those final qualifying marks. 

The Storm women competed in numerous events seeing some top finishes on the day. Sabbatha Taylor and Luaryn Downs finished back to back in the women's 1500m race. Taylor finished second with a time of 5:27.26 and Downs followed in third with a time of 5:54.32. 

Abriel Thrash earned an NCAA Provisional in the high jump after she finished second with a 1.67m mark. She also finished second in javelin with a 25.49m mark,
Eve Brennan earned a fourth-place finish in the shot put after throwing a 10.83m mark. 

The SNU men also had some top finishes in Shawnee. Ryan Auddette took second in the men's 100m race with a time of 10.84. CaLee Williams followed with a third-place finish and a time of 10.89. 

Scott Lynch claimed a fourth-place finish in the 400m race with a time of 50.92 and Terrance Green followed in fifth with a time of 51.25.

The SNU 4x100m relay earned a first-place finish with a time of 41.84. Colter Bufford rounded out the men's events with a first-place finish in the javelin claiming the SNU school record and a NCAA provisional with a mark of 62.92m. 

The Crimson Storm will now await the NCAA Championships at Emporia State and see if they hit the qualifying marks to continue competing.
