PITTSBURGH, Kan. - The Crimson Storm headed to Pittsburgh State to compete in the Gorilla Classic. The Storm competed against multiple Division I, Division II, NAIA, and Junior College teams in Pittsburgh over the weekend.
The Storm faced some top-tier talent at the Gorilla Classic but was able to hold their own. The men's team saw a handful of top-20 finishes over the weekend.Â
The men's 4x400 relay team made up of Jose Ortiz, Terrance Green, Maximus Washington, and Scott Lynch snagged a 13th-place finish with a time of 3:21.81. The men's distance relay of Austin Miller, Terrance Green, Keith Howerton, and Kayden Chaparro was also a highlight as they took an 18th-place finish.
The women's team was led by Abriel Thrash once again. Thrash competed in the high jump collecting a sixth-place finish with a 1.69m mark. This marked a personal best for Thrash while she also collected an NCAA DII provisional.Â

SNU will head to the University of Arkansas to compete in the Arkansas Qualifier on Friday, February 16th to finish up their indoor season.
