PITTSBURG, Kan. - The Southern Nazarene University Track and Field team made their way to Pittsburg, Kansas, for the Crimson and Gold Invite, competing with 36 other teams and marking their second meet of the 2024-2025 season.
On the Storm men's side, sophomore Patrick Uzzle and sophomore Jessiah Burris both clocked a time of 7.29 in the 60 meter race, finishing in 79th and 80th place.
In the 600-yard event, sophomore Terrance Green secured 16th place with a time of 1:15.86. Senior Darius Petties followed in 20th place at 1:17.77, and senior Malachi Allen finished 23rd with a time of 1:21.65.
Sophomore Coltor Bufford placed 22nd in the men's shot put event with a mark of 13.17m and claimed 20th place in the men's weight throw with a mark of 13.36m.
Junior Andres Young placed 27th in the 800 meters, clocking in at 1:59.48, while freshman Riley Patton finished 35th with a time of 2:01.28.
For the Southern Nazarene women, freshman May Pachner broke the Southern Nazarene University women's pole vault school record; she placed 7th in the pole vault with a mark of 3.71m.
Freshman Jasmine Brown claimed 18th place in the 600 yards with a time of 1:37.51, and senior Abbey King finished 26th with a time of 1:46.26.
Junior Isabel Lynch crossed the line in 26th place in the women's mile with a time of 5:30.72, while sophomore Cheyenne Gaymon finished 42nd in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.86.
In the women's shot put, sophomore Eve Brennan earned 10th place with a mark of 12.86 meters, and junior Abriel Thrash followed closely in 15th place with a mark of 12.39 meters.
In the weight throw, Eve Brennan earned 14th place with a mark of 14.22m and freshman Audra Lloyd came in 36th place with a mark of 10.16m.
