Cravens Shines at Shocker Multi

Storm sophomore sets school record in the heptathlon with 4,365 points

WICHITA, Kan. - Southern Nazarene University traveled to Wichita, Kansas, last week to compete in the Shocker Multi on Wednesday and Thursday.

Sophomore Brendan Cravens had a standout performance, setting five personal records and breaking the Southern Nazarene University school record in the heptathlon with a final score of 4,365. 

He was the lone representative from SNU in the meet, securing a sixth place overall finish in the men's heptathlon.

Cravens finished eighth in the 60 meter with a time of 7.63, sixth in the long jump with a mark of 6.20m, and ninth in the shot put with a throw of 10.19m. 

He wrapped up the event with a third-place finish in the 1000 meter, clocking in at 2:59.09.

Next Up
The Crimson Storm will head to Norman, Oklahoma, to compete in the Owen Hewett Invitational on Friday, January 17th.
