HOT SPRINGS, Ark.- The Great American Conference has announced its All-GAC Volleyball teams, with Southern Nazarene tabbing a few honors.
Kate Wright was named GAC Freshman of the Year, while
Whitney Bowie received All-GAC Honorable Mention recognition.
Wright, a freshman outside hitter, tabbed GAC Freshman of the Year as well as All- GAC Honorable Mention honors. She delivered a standout debut season for the Crimson Storm. She ranked ninth in the conference with 322 kills, hitting an efficient .268. Wright also contributed 26 blocks, averaging 0.24 blocks per set.
Bowie, a senior middle blocker, earned her third career All-GAC honor, repeating her spot on the Honorable Mention team from last season. She tallied 232 kills with a .207 hitting percentage and added 57 blocks for SNU. Bowie caps off her college career with an impressive lasting impact on the Crimson Storm program.
In the classroom, Ashley Finch, a graduate student, was recognized as a GAC Elite Scholar Student, showing excellence beyond the court.
Additionally, Kaley Brubaker earned a spot on the GAC Academic Honor Roll, joined by Emma Grace Moddelmog, Molly Langford, and Riley Richardson.
