ADA, Okla. - The Southern Nazarene Crimson Storm Men's and Women's Cross Country teams wrapped up their 2024 season as they traveled to East Central University who hosted the 2024 GAC Cross Country Championships.
The men finished in seventh place out of eight teams competing in the men's 8k with a score of 210. East Central took first place with a score of 26 and a total time of 2:06:05. William Ramirez led the way for the Crimson Storm with a 40th place finish in the 8k with a time of 27:38.0.
Sophomore Aiden Hoover followed closely behind Ramirez coming in 42nd place with a time of 27:44.3. Kayden Chapparro finished in 61st place with a time of 28:28.5 while Daniel Ponce came in 64th place with a time of 28:55.1.
Others competing for the Crimson Storm on the men's side were Andres Young who finished in 67th with a time of 28:58.0. Raymen Sanabria who came in 94th place with a time of 30:31.1 and Riley Patton right behind him at 95th place with a time of 30:31.1
On the women's side, the Crimson Storm finished in ninth place out of twelve teams competing in the women's 5k with a total score of 274.
Freshman Kelsi Hilton led the way for Southern Nazarene coming in 44th in the women's 5k with a time of 20:15.6. Isabel Lynch finished 55th with a time of 20.46.7.
Others competing for the Crimson Storm on the women's side were Elora Jones who came in 72nd with a time of 21:25.5 and Jasmine Brown who came in 107th with a time of 22:56.5
