2019 Gorilla Classic Results
2019 UCO Classic Results
PITTSBURG, Kan./NORMAN, Okla. — Southern Nazarene's track and field teams were in action this weekend with some participating in the 2019 Gorilla Classic hosted by Pitt State, while others competed in the 2019 UCO Alumni Classic hosted by Central Oklahoma at Oklahoma University.

Beginning with the Gorilla Classic in Pittsburg, senior
Kyra Fuller highlighted the action on the women's side for the Crimson Storm as she finished fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:16.57.
Kaitlyn Janka competed in the same event and finished 34
th at 2:23.77.
Kaley Knox placed 32
nd in the 400-meter run with a time of 1:00.00 as well.

On the men's side,
Aaron Brinegar finished 27
th in the 1-mile run with a time of 4:26.05.
Jackson Witt competed in the 3000-meter run and placed 48
th at 9:11.07, while
Andra Richardson finished 37
th in the 400-meters with a time of 50.39.

Back in Oklahoma in the UCO Classic,
Jeremy Mason finished fifth in his section of the 400-meter run to lead the way for SNU.
Merritt Suenram placed seventh in his section of the 800-meters while
Abesolom Mekuria finished sixth,
Giovanni Guetierrez placed seventh,
Taylor Hawkins in eighth, and
Garrison Bluhm in ninth in their respected sections as well.

Ta'Shun Richardson finished fifth in his section of the 200-meters, while
Jacob Gutierrez placed second in his section.
Dillon Joyce and
Reece Watson both competed in the 200-meters as well as Joyce took first and Watson second in the same section.
Hunter Essex was first in his section, while Cevher Sancaktutar was fifth.

On the women's side,
Rebecca Warden finished eighth in her section of the 800-meter run while Madi Nortune finished ninth.
Lauren Grisham took third in her section of the same event, while
Nancy Velazquez finished ninth.
Dragana Samardzic placed first in her section of the 800-meters while
Lauren Boswell placed third in the same section, and
Becca Janka took sixth.

In the 200-meters,
Abrianna Drake finished first in her section, while
Dajia Davis took second and
Breyanna Brice third in the same section.
Giovanni Valdez took second in her section while
Satori Adams finished fifth. Finally,
Megan Wortmann placed first in her section as well for SNU.

Southern Nazarene will be back in action next Friday in Lincoln, Nebraska for the Nebraska Tune-Up hosted by the Huskers.
