OKLAHOMA CITY — Southern Nazarene fell 7-2 to the South Central Region's No. 5 team in Cameron.
 
The Crimson Storm (0-2) got swept 3-0 in doubles, but did pick up two wins in singles. Polina Chala at No. 2 and Judit Mas at No. 5 scored wins in singles. Chala (No. 7 Central Region) downed Sarah Frendo (No. 7 South Central Region), 6-3, 5-7, 10-7. Mas also won 6-3, 7-6 (8-6).
 
Gomez took the first set from No. 34 Zhenia Shviadok (No. 3 South Central Region) 6-3, but lost 6-0 in the second set and 10-4 in the tiebreaker at No. 1. Anna Garcia lost 6-4, 6-2, at No. 3 and Dragan Samardzic fell 7-5 in her first set, but bounced back with a 6-4 win in the second set. She was just edged 11-9 in the tiebreaker. Zoe Gray also lost 6-0, 6-1, at No. 6.
 
In doubles, No. 23 Shviadok and Mathilde Thibausat downed Gomez and Mas, 8-1, at No. 1 while Garcia and Samardzic lost 8-4 at No. 2. Chala and Gray also lost 8-5 at No. 3.
